ABOUT US
The Hon Hsing Athletic Club has a storied history within the Chinese-Canadian community in Vancouver. What started as a small lion dance troupe for fundraising during the Second World War has grown into a cornerstone of Vancouver's Chinatown.
Today, we are proud to be one of BC lower mainland's premiere Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance Troupes dedicated to passing on Chinese culture and traditions to the next generation of Canadian youth.

Whether you are welcoming prosperity to a new business, bringing good fortune to a wedding or family celebration, or celebrating your community at a public festival, we show up with the same dedication and pride that has defined our club since 1939.
Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year is our busiest time of year. Our lions and dragons are out almost every day at storefronts, schools, hotels, and neighbourhood celebrations across the Lower Mainland. January and February fill up fast, so reach out before bookings run out!
Our Clients
Over the past decade, the Hon Hsing Athletic Club has been honoured to partner with more than 150 clients across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. With well over 80 performances each year, we span the full spectrum of community life, from intimate milestone birthday celebrations to weddings and major corporate galas.
We are incredibly proud to serve as the exclusive performing team for some of the city's most iconic institutions and events, including the YVR Vancouver International Airport, Parq Vancouver, the Vancouver International Dragon Boat Festival Society, and the annual Light Up Chinatown! festival.
